Private Lessons With Dubhe

I am excited to begin a private lesson program in my studio in Northbrook, IL! After hearing from so many people who expressed interest in learning ceramics, I decided to launch a one-on-one program in my studio where aspiring potters can learn how to tap into their creativity to design/make their own beautiful handmade pottery. My lessons will focus on function pottery. To start, students will begin learning the basic skills of “throwing” on the potter's wheel. As we move forward, we will continue to take forms through the process which include, trimming, drying, firing and glazing. As students gain more skills, more complex forms will be covered such as jars, teapots and larger vessels. Everyone will be encourage to explore and develop their own aesthetic sensibility, to be reflected on their work they create. Beginners are welcomed as well as ceramic artists with some experience. For students 18 and older only. |
